Flounders: My Cat Downloaded That Porn

Tonight we went back to Flounders for Wednesday night trivia.  Well, actually we first went to Junior’s Sports Lounge in University Village, but their trivia night was canceled.  After that aborted attempt, we hightailed it to Flounders.

We just reviewed Flounders, so I don’t have much to add.  I’d like to reiterate that the host is a super nice guy who I’d love to share a beer with.  However, I’ve gotta say that this man runs the worst music round in town.  We’ve complained and complained about this, but this week he took it to a whole new level of terrible.  This week the music round was all about the Beatles.  We were pretty psyched.  This could be pretty cool.  Maybe he’d play some lesser known songs.  Or have us match the song with the album.  Or have us translate the titles of their greatest hits into German.  But instead of doing anything mildly creative, he just played the most obvious songs and had us write down their titles.  Believe me, it was pretty tough remembering the title of that obscure Beatles song, “I Want To Hold Your Hand.”  One of our teammates actually suffered a rage blackout when he played “Help!”  Which begins with the Beatles singing the title of the song over and over again.  I think every team got a perfect score.  Maybe one or two didn’t, but they were immediately carted off to Guantanamo for not being American enough so it doesn’t really matter.  Sigh.  What a waste of a round.

On the plus side we won shots for having the best team name.  We were My Cat Downloaded That Porn, naming ourselves after the biggest creep of all time.
