You may have noticed that we’ve implemented a new rating scale to help you (and us) decide which trivia nights to go to.
All our ratings are out of 4 Paws. Most of the final score is based on the trivia night itself– format, questions, prizes, and host. In some cases, we have used our discretion to award or subtract half-points for non-trivia factors like parking, beer, and food (prices and/or taste).
Note: We’re happy to go back and re-rate trivia nights if there is a significant change (new host, new format, etc.)
4 paws: Purrfect! Love the trivia, love the host, love the food, love the prizes, love everything. You definitely need to experience this trivia night.
3 paws: Great! Reliable trivia night, really fun, probably winnable, entertaining host. It’s worth checking out this trivia night at least once, even if you have to travel a little.
2 paws: Pretty fun. Not a bad way to spend an evening, if you don’t have anything to do and you are in the neighborhood anyway. We probably wouldn’t travel too far for a 2 paw trivia night.
1 paw: Yuck. Don’t go if you can help it. We love trivia nights, so it’s hard to get rated this low. Basically, 1 paw is only earned when the night drags on until we want to go outside and scrape our head on the sidewalks.
